"Dear Dena"
Dear Dena,
That was an awesome meeting! Congratulations to everyone who had a role in bringing it together! Nicely done! I’m so excited to begin working on my collaborations, I don’t know where to start! Where are the videos and documents so I may relive this meeting for the rest of my natural life?
Sincerely,
I’m so glad I went into science, just to have this moment!
Dear Excited Scientist,
Yes, a big shout out to everyone – speakers, facilitators, planners – everyone who came together to make this meeting happen. We are all awesome and deserve hugs all around, as soon as we are permitted contact again.
The meeting materials will be made available on the meeting website just as soon as humanly possible, and we will let you know when that happens. Please feel free to get your collaboration efforts started in the meantime.
The National Institutes of Health recently announced the availability of administrative supplements to active grants that focus on biomedical software development or have a significant software development component. In other news, you may remember the above image at the end of Richard’s closing remarks at the NIH-HCA meeting.
Our own Katy Börner suggested that we make a challenge of filling in the speech bubbles, and Dena heartily concurs!
Fill in the speech bubbles anyway you see fit – serious, funny, whatever – and then send them to Dena. The good ones we will put in subsequent HuBMAP Happenings.
Annual HuBMAP Meeting is Going Virtual
The consortium's Annual All-Hands meeting will be moving to a virtual format due to public health concerns and social gathering restrictions surrounding the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
We are working through the details and will keep you informed as things progress. Thanks for your patience. If you have any questions or concerns please send mail to help@hubmapconsortium.org.
They said that a mask and gloves were enough to go to the supermarket. What a bunch of liars - everyone else has clothes on!
