HuBMAP Cell Atlas Visual Analysis Workshop
The HuBMAP Tools Component at Harvard Medical School will be hosting a virtual workshop for members of cell atlas projects and the broader community. The goal of the workshop is to discuss and prioritize interactive visualization and analysis functionality that should be integrated into the HuBMAP Portal and other related data resources. The information gathered in this workshop will be incorporated into a roadmap for the HuBMAP Portal.
The event will include a presentation of the tools that are currently available in the HuBMAP Portal and future directions.
Oftentimes the software behind the HuBMAP Data Portal is overshadowed by the graphical interfaces that allow exploration of the tissue data. Here, we'll shine a light on work completed by various groups who are deep in the software development process.
We've talked a lot about the data available through the HuBMAP Data Portal, but if you've ever wondered how all that data is received and validated, this week's feature is for you!
The ingest-validation-tools, a collaboration between HIVE TC-Harvard Medical school (Chris Briggs, Chuck McCallum, Nils Gehlenborg) and HIVE IEC (Joel Welling) breaks down what transpires for all data submitted by HuBMAP sites.
Check out their well-organized Github repository and meditate on the efforts made to make these datasets live in the HuBMAP Data Portal.
Presented by Oxford Global, the 3 day online Spatial Biology Congress brings together world leaders from pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as well as academic institutions to discuss the latest insights into Spatial Biology on Drug Development and Therapeutic Development.
Katy Börner, PI of HIVE-TC Indiana University, will be presenting and participating in a panel discussion at the event.
